Eagle Hood Ornament
The eagle hood ornament is surely a symbol we all recognise and associate with the good ole US of A.
There are many different designs of Eagle hood ornaments and they were designed for a number of car models including Chevrolet where the eagle takes on several different forms dating around the 1950's, one eagle design is instantly recognisable with the eagle's wings half outstretched as if just about to take flight, another design more likely to be found on a Chevy truck is very stylized with the eagle leaning well forward and wings almost touching back to back behind it. Chrysler also featured eagle mascots during the mid 1950's where the eagle was much more sharply defined.

Let's also not forget that the great Rene Lalique also designed the most beautiful glass eagle head ornament for cars.
